Experience
One of the most fascinating things about the tutor-student relationship is that it so rarely ends up being a unidirectional exchange of information. I find that tutoring is just as beneficial to me as it is to my students. For example, adapting my explanations to meet the individual needs and interests of my students often forces me to think about the material in new and interesting ways.I first experienced the benefits of tutoring while attending Southeast Missouri State University. I tutored my peers and other learners in Mathematics at the campus learning center and enjoyed every minute of it. I still enjoy tutoring students in Mathematics, and I am looking forward to working with new students in the areas of Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Differential Equations. I am also prepared to teach Natural Science subjects like Chemistry, Physics, and Physiology. In my leisure time, I play the guitar and the piano, run, cook, and solve puzzles.
