Dylan R.
Private tutor in Shoreline, WA
Education
Recently Graduated from WWU with a degree in Physics and Mathematics. My GPA was roughly 3.6 in the last two years of my majors. I originally went to highschool at Bothell Highschool, where I participated in activities such as Choir and Drama. I am also a self taught musician, having learned music theory online many years ago. Since then I have played in a local rock band in Bellingham, where I developed my songwriting ability and comfort with performing live.
Experience
I have been a private tutor for the last year, helping mostly high school and college age students get a better grasp on Math and Physics. I was also a Physics lab TA at WWU for 2 years. I enjoy helping students find the beauty in the Mathematics and Physics, and particularly like to work with students who plan to go into the Science field later on. However, I also find joy in helping students who struggle at Math. I understand that many people dislike Math and must take it for a class, and I like helping them succeed.

Hobbies
Most of my free time is devoted to Physics research, particularly the mathematics of General Relativity. I also spend much of my time these days studying for the GRE, which I will take in the fall. Recently I have been trying to apply mathematical models to other areas, such as Music and Finance, seeing how they are similar and different than Physics. I also enjoy playing music, with friends and by myself, particularly guitar and piano.
