I am interested in Mandarin Tutor very much. I am a retired female teacher who comes from China with rich experience in teaching Mandarin Chinese. I worked as an Chinese teacher in middle school , university in China for ten years , and worked as an interantional Chinese teacher in Singapore for two years. My students are come from the parts of the world. They are primary school students , middle school students, college students, and the adults. So no matter they are the children or adults,each is OK for me. I held the credentianls about the major and recommendation letters given by the middle school and university I was working for. I love teaching the children a lots for it gives me happiness, confidence, the sense of accomplishment. It let me understand what are the responsibility, being respected and confirmed. I love my students very much and share with them not only the knowledge but my great love, lasting patient and continuous encouragement as well. The story I want to tell you happened in several years ago when I worked as a international Chinese teacher. When I read the post , I was the tenth tutor who tried to teach the young girl Chinese who comes from Vietnam. The nine tutors befro me were dismissed by her future husband .Her bridegroom is Chinese. That is why she was urgent to study Chinese. The members of her family kept searching the Chinese tutor for her in the whole island till they met me. Suppose you accepted a student who understood neither English nor Chinese, in other words, there is no any teaching language for me to teach her. The answer you would give me maybe that is impossible. But my answer is all right , no problem. After five day’s trial teaching, I became her Chinese teacher. The young lady kept having class four hours each day without stopping during the later three months except the Wedding Day. After three months hard working, the student not only could read, listen, write Chinese but could write the short essay in term of the Chinese phonetic alphabet. She could go anywhere, went to fair, went shopping, took subway, visited her friends without help, especially could express her love to her husband. She knew over 300 Chinese words. Of course, except girl’s very hard work , it could not become true without the effort paid by her excellent teacher. What the teacher paid her is great love, lasting patient, continuous encouragement, and strong responsibility. The teacher in the story is me.
